Quinacridone Magenta aqueous pigment dispersion is a synthetic organic bright red pigment that makes bright tints and, in mixtures, makes beautiful transparent violets. It is an intense primary red with vibrant, intense tinting strength. Exceptionally lightfast, this is a true high performance pigment.

It is an intense primary red with vibrant, intense tinting strength. Exceptionally lightfast, this is a true high-performance pigment. According to some artists, quinacridone magenta is a substitute for less lightfast alizarin crimson and is often called "Permanent Alizarin" by some companies.
An issue with many organic pigments is that they are typically not as lightfast, solvent-fast, or heatfast as inorganic pigments. However, quinacridone magenta has excellent fastness properties and high tinting strength.
